Funders have included the World Bank, USAID, US National Science Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health. The project is run by the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
	www.tusrif.ru The US Russia Investment Fund The Fund's Direct Investment Team helps its portfolio companies by providing: equity- and debt-based financing to aid in corporate formation, infrastructure development, and other general operating costs; access to later stage "smart money" investors and funds; assistance in recruiting talented management and support staff; advice on corporate formation, legal and financial issues, private placement offerings, and benefits administration; and, connections to management-level decision makers in Russia and internationally to help portfolio companies forge mutually beneficial partnerships and alliances.
