Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation
The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is part of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. Cooperation with Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) supports the transition to democracy and a market economy by means of knowledge transfer and assistance in problem solving. Technical cooperation with Eastern Europe focuses primarily on South Eastern Europe and the CIS. In addition, there are special programs in the Republic of Yugoslavia (including Kosovo) and individual CIS countries.
