On October 5-9, tennis star and YouthAIDS Ambassador Anna Kournikova visited Yekaterinburg, Gatchina, St. Petersburg and Moscow to highlight the importance of healthy lifestyles and HIV prevention among Russian youth.

The USAID-funded "Our Rights" project organized a Legal Education Week in Khabarovsk Kray from September 28 to October 3.

The St. Petersburg City Committee on Social Policy organized a conference at Smolny City Hall to present a new policy document on social services for HIV-positive mothers.

On September 29, USAID/Russia issued an award to the Moscow-based Institute for Comparative Labor Relations Studies for a project on "Women in the Labor Market."

The TTX will be conducted outside Moscow and offer an opportunity to compare and contrast U.S. and Russian response systems to an international disaster response scenario.
