	www.cenef.ru A Center for Energy Efficiency (CENEf) CENEf is a nonprofit, independent Russian-American organization founded in 1992 by a consortium of U.S. and Russian organizations to promote energy efficiency and environmental protection in Russia. The Center develops legislation and policy proposals to implement more efficient use of energy resources in Russia, initiates energy efficiency projects, and develops potential opportunities for cooperation between Russian and foreign companies using energy-efficient equipment or production procedures.

Activities include: research; drafting and analysis of legal documents on urban issues; pilot programs for reforming urban economies by public bodies; methodological and technical assistance; experimental projects with international organizations; professional training for public and private sector personel; publishing and communication through mass media.
